Ibiza has become synonymous with some of the best parties in the world. Every summer, visitors from all over the globe make their way to Ibiza to experience the fabled nightlife that the island offers, creating some of the best vacation stories of all time. During the day, islanders typically spend their time on one of the many world-class beaches getting a tan or participating in a multitude of day parties and concerts.

As the sun sets, the island’s most popular nightclubs turn into exactly what Ibiza is known for; the best party destination in the world. Dance the night away at these energetic Ibiza nightlife destinations where you’re sure to party until the sun comes up during your island getaway.

    Amnesia

Arguably the most recognizable venue name on the whole island, Amnesia serves as the quintessential Ibiza nightclub. Amnesia hosts two massive rooms; The Club Room, a dark and dungeonesque space, and the Terrace, a large area with a glass roof that allows the morning’s sunlight to flood in, marking the end of the party. Both spaces have been the backdrop to some iconic nights, and are just waiting for you to come and experience everything they have to offer.

    Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Club

This award-winning destination is one of Ibiza’s crown jewels, boasting wild nightlife events within the venue of the Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel. DC-10

Since 1999, DC-10 has done things a little bit differently than any other club on the island. They provide little-to-no publicity or advertising for their events, which limits their customer base to those who do their research and are really there to party. DC-10 has long been known for its no-holds-barred parties that will leave even the most experienced ravers with their jaws on the floor.

    The Ninth

Start your night off at one of the most stylish and sophisticated bars in Ibiza nightlife destination, The Ninth. Located on the ninth floor of the Hard Rock Hotel, this chic rooftop sky bar supplies guests with beautiful panoramic views of Playa d’En Bossa and Ses Salines National Park. The monochrome and minimalist design of The Ninth resembles that of a modern yacht, and with vintage champagne and craft cocktails, you’ll feel the same levels of luxury.

Benimussa Park aka The Zoo Project

World famous for their “Zoo Parties,” Benimussa Park hosts some of the most mind-boggling day parties on the island that extend long into the night. Elegant dressing and intricate animal body paint are commonplace at this venue, so don’t be surprised if you end up dancing with a tuxedo-clad zebra. Fire dancing, meditation pits, break dancing competitions and high-quality techno music are all things you can expect to find at ‘The Zoo.’

    Kumharas

Just a short taxi ride from San Antonio, this exotic venue will have you feeling like you’ve been transported to a fantasy land. Kumharas is unique in Ibiza, as it possesses a mellow and relaxed atmosphere with more sophisticated drinks. This beachy hangout is great for a refined night of sipping and dining as an alternative to indulging in the energetic nightclub scene.

    Destino

Opened in 2013, Destino is one of the most recent additions to the Destino Pacha Resort roster. Located above the Talamanca resort on the cliffs of Cap Martinet, Destino offers some of the best views of Ibiza Town that can be found anywhere on the island. Destino is sometimes used for huge open-air parties with world-famous DJs but also hosts its own nightclub, TOX, that is hidden away in the basement of the venue.

        The Horizon

Built as “The Horizon” in 1952 by William F. Cody, an architect that helped shape the iconic mid-century modern architecture of Palm Springs, the hotel quickly became a celebrity hot spot. During the 1950s and ‘60s, it drew Hollywood elite like Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, producer Jack Wrather and a number of US Presidents to come experience the sprawling, three-acre desert sanctuary.

In the Heart of the Desert

Los Angeles designer Steve Hermann was brought in to revitalize the property in 2015 while still keeping its mid-century character intact. The original style of the hotel is now combined with modern and vintage furniture to create a nostalgic yet contemporary space for a whole new generation of trendsetters. Hermann’s addition of an open-air spa and alfresco restaurant SoPa added even more to the attractive vacation spot. The welcoming interior creates an air of residential luxury leaving guests to feel right at home in the heart of the desert.

        The Bungalows

The 25 bungalows throughout the property are designed with handpicked decor and custom finishes to create an intimate space filled with comfort. Entering into their bungalow guests will never have to remember a room number, as each domain is personalized with a gold, etched name plate. Exposed wood, marble accents, and stone walls bring natural touches to the room against its mountainous desert backdrop. The indoor-outdoor feel is enhanced by glass doors that provide plenty of natural light for a tranquil stay. Guests can also lounge on their own private outdoor patio or reach the ultimate relaxation with an outdoor shower using lush Le Labo bath products.

        The Residence

The more than 3000-square-foot habitat comes with a private, full-sized pool and yard. Unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape deliver eye-catching views of the natural, mountain terrain. The Residence can be booked as a one-bedroom accommodation or upgraded to the full two-bedroom home, both options leaving guests to enjoy a wood-burning fireplace, wet bar and luxury amenities.

        Peaceful Ambiance

Outside of lounging in the spacious bungalow rooms, the hotel boasts an inviting indoor-outdoor Spa for pampering guests in a peaceful setting. From massages to facials to aromatherapy, relaxation is guaranteed with services customized to fit each guest’s desires. Other activities like private personal training, yoga classes and guided hikes add an element of fitness perfect for any guest wishing to stay active during their getaway. The garden-esque outdoor seating creates an enchanting setting where a flavorful, local menu of European and Californian dishes please the palate thanks to Michelin-star Chef Giacomo Pettinari.

The Best Islands in French Polynesia

There are over 130 islands in French Polynesia, and each one offers something special to visitors looking for rich culture, natural beauty, and a relaxing adventure. Overwater bungalows and clear blue water probably come to mind when you think of these islands, and though that’s an accurate image, there’s much more to explore as you plan your trip. Get started today by checking out our top 6 best islands in French Polynesia.

                    Maupiti

Speaking of overwater bungalows, you won’t find them in Maupiti. This island is committed to maintaining an authentic, local vibe, making it a perfect destination for those looking for the beauty of Bora Bora without any fussy tourist traps. Accommodations in Maupiti are unique; the sole options are family-operated guest houses and pensions. Owners of these local stays offer meals and excursions to guests, or you can opt for a “self-catering” guest house in which hosts ensure you have ingredients to prepare meals yourself. Book your lodgings well in advance as Maupiti is gaining popularity, but not expanding their hospitality capacity in order to keep the island quiet. Rest assured that anywhere you stay in Maupiti will allow for easy access to beautiful, untouched beaches and wildlife.

                    Tetiaroa

Tetiaroa is arguably one of the most remote habitable islands on Earth. Known for being Marlon Brando’s private island, there’s only one place the public is able to stay on Tetiaroa: The Brando. The Brando aims to be the most luxurious eco-friendly resort in the world, offering a true next-level experience for visitors looking for an exclusive trip to French Polynesia. In fact, the only way to get to Tetiaroa is via The Brando’s private airplane, and once you arrive, you’ll experience service like no other. Think beachside bungalows with private pools and three-times-a-day service, food delivered to your door, bikes for every member of your party and more. The Brando is part of an atoll made of several islands. The only structure in Tetiaroa is the resort, and all other islands consist of bird sanctuaries and untouched wildlife.

                    Rurutu

Located among the Austral Islands of French Polynesia, Rurutu is known as a refuge for whales. July to October is the best time to visit for humpback whale sightings as they migrate to Rurutu to give birth in warmer water. We highly recommend taking a boat tour and going snorkeling for a chance to see and even swim with the whales! Rurutu also has many limestone cliffs and caves for exploration. Similar to Maupiti, lodging in Rurutu is largely local guesthouses with one hotel offering beach bungalows. The plus side to a guest house is that you’ll have a local guide to show you everything the island has to offer.

                    Huahine

Huahine is also known as the “Garden of Eden” because of its untouched nature. Part of the Society Islands in French Polynesia, Huahine is one of the quietest, least populated islands in this cluster. It’s only a 30-minute flight from Tahiti and Bora Bora, making it super central to more well-known French Polynesian destinations. The coolest part of Huahine is that it was a favorite site of royal families in history, and now there are tons of ancient ruins and religious sites that are free and accessible for explorers like you. There are beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and vanilla bean plantations, but don’t forget to look for the sacred blue-eyed eels who swim the rivers in Huahine.

                    Fakarava

We’ve heard it called “The End of the World” and “The Island of Dreams,” but no matter its title, Fakarava remains one of the best islands in French Polynesia because of its unique pink sand and clear waters. Part of the Tuamotu Atolls, Fakarava is one of the top diving destinations in the world as many exotic species enjoy natural refuge here. The locals in Fakarava are passionate about conserving the natural beauty, biodiversity, and resources of the region, so you’re sure to find kind people and beautiful sights at every turn.

                    Tahiti

This one may seem obvious, but Tahiti is often seen as a hub to get elsewhere in French Polynesia instead of a destination in itself. The largest island in French Polynesia, Tahiti offers one of the only city experiences in the form of its capital, Papeete. Because of the French influence, Papeete shares similarities with many cities in the south of France, with quaint seaside buildings, outdoor markets, and versatile, delicious food options. Tahiti also has more accommodation options than the smaller islands, offering similar luxury stays to an island like Bora Bora. If you (somehow) tire of the untouched beaches and remote wildlife of the lesser known islands, a few days in Tahiti (especially near Papeete) can be a refreshing change of pace.
