It’s time again for Art Basel in Miami Beach, an annual exhibition featuring modern and contemporary artwork from around the globe. Complementing the Art Basel fairs in Basel and Hong Kong, the Miami shows this December will include more than 250 gallery participants, each contributing their greatest paintings, sculptures, photographs and more. This leg of the fair draws crowds of more than 70,000 visitors from all over the world, each ready to experience the art world and all that Miami Beach has to offer.

Shows

This year Art Basel will be featuring over 4,000 artists, each of whom contributes something different to the international collection.  The fair is set up in sectors that place similar works in categories such as editions, group exhibitions, thematic exhibits, film, and solo showcases. No matter the medium, there is a multitude of ways for visitors to enjoy the range of works on display. The schedule also includes a number of talks and panels as a platform for notable figures in the art world to discuss their knowledge with audiences. For guests who seek out the expertise of a guide, tours are also available to give context and provide deeper analyzation into the featured works. Even children have a space to call their own, with the Miami Children’s Museum providing crafts and activities for kids while parents visit the shows.




Food & Drink

With Art Basel being the central event, Miami Art Week draws in plenty of visitors to wine and dine their way through the city. Pop-up bars and menu collaborations are popular attractions as restaurants and brands seek to impress guests of the exhibition. Normally known as the bar Bitter Truth, the Basel House pop-up will feature live hip hop, art, and cocktails. The new NYC cocktail bar Employees Only will host a pop-up at the Washington Park Hotel with curated cocktails, a DJ, and a fortuneteller to top it off. A “sneak eat” of NYC favorite Luke’s Lobster will be at Wynwood Arcade for those looking to get a preview of the new location opening in Miami’s Brickell City Centre.




Parties

A world of travelers will be flocking to Miami to experience the art scene, but the city is prepared to party with both invite-only and public events for visitors to enjoy. 1OAK, known for its locations in NYC, Vegas, and LA, has in recent years taken over Miami’s Rockwell to bring in Art Basel guests. They’ll be joining together once again December 5th-7th with a lineup soon to be announced. David Lynch’s Parisian pop-up club Silencio is likely to return for their sixth anniversary with past performances from rapper A$AP Rocky, artist Michele Lamy, and composer Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe. LIV at Fontainebleau is known to host show stopping parties and will be the site of an impressive line up this year with Kendall Jenner DJing on 12/4, Bad Bunny on 12/5, Lil’ Wayne on 12/6, Alesso on 12/7 and DJ Khaled celebrating his birthday at the venue on 12/8. Story nightclub will also be drawing a crowd with a performance from Deadmau5 on Friday, 12/6.

Those with Art Basel on their calendar are in for a weekend full of fun thanks to the number of attractions keeping visitors occupied during their stay in Miami Beach.

      Setting up camp in Downtown Las Vegas, Life is Beautiful hit the scene in 2013 as a two-day festival targeting not just tourists, but all of the city’s music-loving locals. After growing to three days in 2014 there was no turning back. Vegas had a new attraction to join the multitude of activities entertaining Sin City’s finest. Thousands of attendees have returned year after year to experience the festival’s unique offerings that involve more than just an enticing music lineup.         The History

The original Taste of London in 2004 helped ignite the now world-renowned Taste Festival series.           The 18th annual Tribeca Film Festival 2020 will take place this year in Tribeca, New York, from April 15th-26th. The festival is one of the highest-acclaimed film festivals in the country and will include films by Jared Leto, Christoph Waltz, and Margot Robbie along with 103 other documentaries and indie films.
