The annual Cannes Film Festival , this year occurring on May 12th-23rd, has taken place each spring since 1946 as a celebration of new films created by the year’s most talented filmmakers. Cannes’ convention center Palais des Festivals et des Congrès is home to the invite-only event, considered to be one of the most significant in the world of film. Awards are given to lauded contenders in categories ranging from Best Short Film to Best Actor to the highly-coveted Golden Palm. The 2019 Golden Palm winner went to critically-acclaimed film Parasite, which went on to win Best Picture at The 92nd Academy Awards. Nominees for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival are expected to be released on April 16th, 2020.

Renowned director Spike Lee has been chosen as the President of the Jury for the 2020 festival, heading a select group of international talents to determine the winners out of dozens of accomplished artists. Past juries have included the likes of Ava DuVernay, Will Smith, Guillermo del Toro and countless other talents in the industry. This year’s jurors will be announced mid-April, and will traditionally meet at Cannes’ historic Villa Domergue to decide the winners.

A Summer Experience at Rosé Day LA 2020

Photo: Zocha Group – A Summer Experience at Rosé Day LA 2020

    Rosé Day LA

As an elegant kickoff to summer, the 3rd annual Rosé Day LA 2020 event will bring together thousands of Rosé fans during a daytime picnic with a touch of luxury on June 13th, 2020. Curated cuisine and DJs keep guests happy as they sip their blush-colored cocktails in the Malibu sunshine. Whether you’re a Rosé aficionado, or just looking for a way to take in a stunning landscape, National Rosé Day won’t be spent better than making this event your weekend destination.

    National Rosé Day

With National Rosé Day only recently being created in 2015, the new and flourishing “holiday” has excited Rosé fans every year on the second Saturday in June. While there are official celebrations held by its founders, a group of well-established LA hospitality veterans, Horse & Carriage Hospitality, have stepped up to bring a one-of-a-kind celebration to life in Los Angeles, now in its third year. More than 4000 guests will gather at Saddlerock Malibu to toast during the exclusive event filled with A-listers, influencers and Los Angeles socialites.

    Food & Drinks

The Rosé itself is the star of the event with past events having numerous sponsors like Perrier-Jouët’s Rosé Champagne, Domaine Bertaud Belieu’s Rosé wine and Svedka Rosé Vodka all on the menu for a variety of tastes to excite your palate. A portion of the proceeds has also been donated to the event’s co-charity partners Charity: Water, an organization bringing clean drinking water to developing countries and Art of Elysium, an art-based non-profit.

While the beloved pink drink will be the focus, past years have brought Chef Marc Forgione of Iron Chef to select his favorite gourmet food truck vendors to serve up their best dishes along with collaborating with them to create his own Rosé-inspired cuisine to complement the beverage.

    VIP Access

Live DJ performances will keep the energy going as guests sip on pink cocktails in a dress code of “summer chic” pastels and whites. Guests will find leisure games and activities to play in the open landscape along with browsing the available art and luxury brand activations for some summer shopping. A variety of Instagram-worthy installations will also make the perfect backdrop for a snapshot beneath Malibu’s sunny skies.

Alongside a General Admission option, the VIP Garden upgrade allows for access to a private lounge space and complimentary meal, dedicated bars serving Rosé-inspired cocktails, private restrooms and expedited shuttle service and entry for a streamlined experience.

The event created by the team behind LA’s own Warwick nightclub, Horse and Carriage Hospitality, celebrates the third year of a Rosé Day 2020 event commemorating the fun, national holiday. Acting as a kickstart to Los Angeles’ summer day party season, you won’t want to miss out on this classic, summer experience.

The Rosé Day LA 2020 event will take place Saturday, June 13th at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, CA from 12:30pm-8:00pm

          Neon Carnival

Note: This year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival has been postponed to the weekends of October 9th-11th and October 16th-18th due to safety measures taken regarding the COVID-19 virus. Check back here for updates on confirmed Coachella parties occurring during the rescheduled festival dates.

Over the years, the annual Neon Carnival has blossomed into becoming one of Coachella’s most highly-coveted party wristbands. The A-list guest list limited to celebrities, influencers, and industry insiders creates an incredible night as guests indulge in carnival games, rides, and unforgettable live performances in the middle of the desert. This highly sought-after invite grants you exclusive access to experience the social event of the year at Neon Carnival 2020.

NEON CARNIVAL 2020 – POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER

          Coachellas most highly-coveted party wristbands

          Weekend Three Announced

The carnival has typically been held for one night only late on the Saturday night of Coachella weekend one each year, but has recently expanded to include a second day of revelry. Partygoers can now also attend during the unofficial “weekend three,” which coincides with Goldenvoice’s other Indio festival Stagecoach.

Neon Carnival presented by Levis and Bondi Sands

The carnival is managed by nightlife impresario Brent Bolthouse—the creative behind Santa Monica and Huntington Beach’s well-admired Bungalow bars, set to open their third location in Long Beach. His impact in the industry spans decades, leading his company Bolthouse Productions to continuously impress with their creativity, detail, and knack for orchestrating a good time.

In the early Neon Carnival days, the party was an even more exclusive indoor event at the Barker Hangar in Thermal, CA. It was a party fully-stocked with Hollywood elites as a private place to escape to after the festival with only a few-hundred guests on the invite list. The outdoor carnival aspect didn’t come into play until 2010, inspired by another of Bolthouse’s famous private parties held at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Each year the Neon Carnival has grown, with the event switching locations in 2018 to HITS Desert Horse Park, a larger space for an increased guest list of 8,000 attendees. The new guest list has expanded even further for 2020 after the addition of a second night.

          A-List Attendees

Past Neon Carnival events are well-known for drawing in a kaleidoscope of A-listers. It may be no surprise that attendees have included regular clubgoers like Drake, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Paris Hilton, but when Hollywood royalty like Leonardo Dicaprio and Clint Eastwood also show up for the festivities, the carnival’s status is cemented as being the best of the best.

The Neon Carnival is an invite-only event.

The big question hopeful attendees have each year is, “How do you get a wristband?” Bolthouse cites close-knit industry relationships as being the number one source for the guest list. Invites go out to talent agencies, record labels, and the numerous nightlife connections Bolthouse has developed over the years. The curated selection of invitees are given a time and place for advanced check-in where they pick up their wristbands in Los Angeles within the weeks prior to the event. The 2019 event marked the first year the check-in location was made to feel like a party itself, with a red carpet, photo station, complimentary beverages and a lounge space for guests waiting in line for their wristbands.

          Neon Carnival Access

With its 2019 expansion, the brand has opened up the attendee pool by allowing potential guests to request guestlist access on the Neon Carnival website. Invites are still be given at the discretion of Bolthouse Productions, with influencers and highly-followed Instagram accounts likely to receive priority. According to Bolthouse himself, anyone with a dream of waltzing into the event is best off getting to know him personally through one of his many bar and nightlife ventures.

The Neon Carnival 2020 event will likely bring back their resident DJ performers along with guest performers to take the stage. You won’t miss out on any Coachella acts as the Carnival is always held after the closing artist has ended. Neon Carnival has never been directly affiliated with the festival and has always been an event for post-Coachella, which has helped cultivate a friendship rather than competition between the two events.

Whether you’re one of the lucky invited guests, or a spectator hoping to make it to the list one day, excitement continues to mount as all eyes will be on the Neon Carnival this Coachella season. Its 11th installment will be sure to bring new surprises as guests party until the sun comes up at one of the hottest social events of the year.

            Experience The Masters

Note: This year’s Masters Tournament 2020 has been postponed due to the globally spreading COVID-19 pandemic. Further information on the event will be updated in the fall as the rescheduled date is officially announced.

Each year The Masters Tournament draws in the world’s greatest golfers to compete for the prestigious title at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Patrons and fans witness the unparalleled talents of golfers who show their skills on the green at the annual invitation-only event. This April, the Masters Tournament 2020 will continue in its 84th year as one of golf’s biggest events.

            The 2020 Masters Tournament

Golf’s four major championships kick off with the Masters Tournament, attracting the sport’s elite to the distinguished Augusta National Golf Club since 1934. Occurring this year from April 9th-12th, more than 90 players will compete, including former Masters Champions and the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking. A history of tradition, impressive athleticism and exclusivity has made the Masters Tournament one of the most highly-coveted tickets in the majors.

            The Augusta National Golf Club

Formerly a plant nursery, the National stands as one of the most exclusive golf clubs in the world. The thoughtfully-designed course has had many upgrades through the years, but remains a classic for members and champions due to its pristine appearance and historical place in U.S. golf history. The property’s 365 acres are composed of an 18-hole course, clubhouse, private shopping center and plenty of lush, well-maintained greenery.

            Winning the Title

Receiving an invitation to play in The Masters Tournament gives players a chance to solidify their place among an outstanding group of Champions. Players will showcase their talents at this year’s 2020 Masters Tournament in hopes of winning the hefty purse, with the winner’s share totalling more than $2 million. Aside from monetary awards, winners are also gifted with the Augusta National Golf Club’s signature green jacket, a tradition that has continued since 1949. The victor is also granted a lifetime invitation to the Masters to continue to defend or regain their title.

            Masters Champions

Tiger Woods, a five-time Masters winner and 2019 title holder, will return to the 2020 Masters Tournament to defend his title. The Tuesday ahead of the tournament, he will be hosting the Champions’ Dinner, where the reigning Champion welcomes past winners and board members for a feast. The menu is decided based on the home region of the winner, with Tiger Woods planning to serve up California coastal dishes of steak, chicken fajitas and sushi for the 2020 gathering. Woods holds a number of Masters Tournament records, including youngest winner, winning by the largest margin, and lowest winning score.

            Invitation Only

With the National being such an exclusive property, the Masters Tournament is known to be a hard-to-get ticket. Invitations go out to members along with a small selection of fans who were lucky enough to apply for the wait list during the two times in history it has been open. Even witnessing the practice rounds requires submitting an application a year in advance. Like previous years, the 2020 Masters Tournament is sure to attract top golf fans who are dedicated and connected within this exclusive, prestigious sport.

                    A Luxury Coachella Experience

One of the hottest festivals in the country, The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, is known for its internationally-acclaimed lineup, fashionable attendees, and summery location in the Coachella Valley desert of Southern California. If you’re planning to attend this world-renowned event, there are plenty of things to keep in mind to make the most of your musical getaway. Prepare for a weekend to remember through following these tips to making your luxury Coachella experience magical.

                    Rent a Private Home

With such a limited number of hotels in the area, people often book their Coachella stay at least a year in advance. Rather than having a typical hotel experience, renting a luxury Coachella villa or home is a great way to maximize your fun with a group of friends. Palm Springs is known for its mid-century design elements that will give your lavish stay a unique atmosphere.

                    Hire a Chauffeur

Those who live within driving distance to the area often prefer to hit the road instead of worrying about the hassle of flying. If driving is more your speed, consider hiring a private chauffeur for the weekend to lead you to wherever your adventure takes you. You won’t have to skip out on toasting glasses with friends and you can enjoy some much needed R&R during the ride.

                    Attend the Exclusive Parties

While Coachella may be a big party on its own, the number of branded and sponsored events that occur throughout the weekend grows each year. Some are more exclusive than others, and if you know the right person, you can get your name on the list for the hottest events of the season. From the annual Neon Carnival to the Bootsy Bellows Pop-Up event, A-listers are known to show up to these VIP extravaganzas.

Arrive in a Helicopter or Private Jet

For those who prefer to arrive to the area quickly, consider taking a helicopter trip to Palm Springs. You’ll get a beautiful scenic view of Southern California on your way, and won’t have to worry about traffic clogging up your good time. A private jet will also get you to the desert in no time and the comfortable seating will be well worth it.

                    Shop Til You Drop

With a reputation for being one of the most fashionable events of the year, you’ll want to make sure you curate your look to be exactly your style. Palm Springs is known for its variety of shopping outlets, and you’ll have a great time adding finishing touches to your outfits at their many designer boutiques. Take a pit stop in the area and indulge in a few new pieces to make your weekend wardrobe festival-ready.

                    Hire a Private Chef

As much as you may believe you’ll have time to cook during the weekend, a private chef will make your experience far more enjoyable. Having a chef make a few meals at your private home leaves you and your group free to truly relax when you’re not at the festival. A home cooked meal is just what you’ll need to stay energized for all those wild days in the summery heat.

Road Trip in a Luxury Car

Some people may enjoy the scenic tour through Southern California and would prefer to drive on their own. If that’s the case, consider renting a luxury car to take your road trip to the next level. You’ll get to experience the open road along with arriving in style to kick off your lively Coachella Weekend.
